Camp NaNoWriMo-Second Week

Welcome to the second week of Camp NaNoWriMo!

If you're participating in Camp then congratulations on getting this far! If you are not participating I want to remind you that it's not too late to join. It's a lot of fun, free, and extremely motivating, what could be better? If you have no idea what I'm talking about you might want to check out my past post on Camp NaNoWriMo Here

During the second week word counts start to fall, determination falters, and plot holes start appearing. Chocolate supplies dwindle, coffee pots run dry, and writer's block appears, but I'm here to tell you to keep going, it's worth it. No matter how bleak the odds may seem you must keep going, don't stop writing! As soon as you start slowing down, and skipping days, writing will get harder and harder. Get into a schedule and write everyday, then it will become easier and easier. You'll find yourself looking forward to your writing time, even if you're not motivating yourself with chocolate. Your story is worth it, just keep writing, and don't give up!

Also if you are looking for a cabin I'd like to invite you to join me, Maddie Jay, and Brooke Faulkner, in our private cabin. If you're interested just leave your camp username in the comments and I'll send you an invitation as soon as I can.

  1. Don't you hate the week two blues? My awesome cabin mates are keeping my motivation going, and I'm hording chocolate like crazy so I haven't quite hit the block yet. Pulled a great day yesterday too. But I'm expecting it to get hard really soon. But you're totally right. Write something every day. Stay in that story world and in contact with the characters and something magic will happen to make you want to write again.

How's your camp going at the moment Andrea? I hope week two doesn't get to you!

    1. I'm running a bit low on motivation at the moment, and a bit behind on my word count, but don't worry, I'll keep plugging away. I still have a lot of chocolate left though, which is amazing. I have to keep myself from eating it when I'm not writing though, and that's not going too well...
