Author Influence-C.S. Lewis

C.S. Lewis is my favorite author from my childhood. My family had The Chronicles of Narnia on CD from Focus on the Family. My siblings and I listened to them so often that we could almost quote them all from memory. C.S. Lewis seemingly effortlessly wove the greatest story ever told into his books, creating amazing books that have been loved by people everywhere of all ages. C.S. Lewis taught me about allegories, and how good always triumphs over evil. His stories with stay with me forever, reminding me that my faith can be a central part to my writing, and to never be ashamed of what I believe in.

  1. I love C.S. Lewis. If I had to choose a favorite author it would be him. I've read the Narnia series once, and The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Voyage of the Dawn Treader twice. I am currently reading the ScrewTape Letters. :)

    1. I know, he's such an amazing author! Have you read his space trilogy? It's wonderful. Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, and That Hideous Strength. I haven't read the last one but the first two are definitely worth reading, especially if you like science fiction. :)

  2. I love the chronicles of Narnia. I've been watching cartoon and people versions of them forever, and reading them over and over again. It's the reason I want to attempt a type of allegory someday.

    2. I like how the message is there, but you don't really feel like you're reading an allegory.

    3. Yeah, I love that too. Nobody likes being preached at, and I think sometimes allegories can feel that way, but definitely not with C.S. Lewis.
