Cast your character as the lead in a play. You can pick any play you would like: Wicked, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Annie, Mary Poppins, etc.
Ask yourself what character your character would play in a play. Look for similarities between the lead in the play and your own character, and if your character is not really the acting type, or just really wouldn't get into that, then just cast them as a supporting or minor character.
